Known as Prova Brasil, it is mainly based on standardized tests and socioeconomic questionnaires, with a focus on Portuguese Language and Mathematics. The results of the 2007 Prova Brasil became part of the Basic Education Development Index (IDEB), which established educational goals to be achieved by schools and state and municipal networks.
