Abstract

The study estimates that in Brazil there will be 6,110 new cases of central nervous system cancer in men and 5,380 in women between 2023 and 2025. Brain neoplasms have a significant impact on patients' quality of life, leading to a condition of physical dependence, even after surgical treatment. The study aims to describe the characteristics of neurosurgical oncology patients, focusing on basic human needs, using data collected from medical records to improve nursing care.
