Resumen

The digitalization of information has brought advances and challenges for human beings, with direct impacts on personal, social and professional lives. In the specific case of nurses, considering the importance of the work they perform in different areas of health, the need for studies that identify foundations and alternatives that enable the development of the digital skills of these professionals so that they can work efficiently and effectively, especially from the perspective of digital health, is highlighted. Thus, the objective of this article is to analyze, from an interdisciplinary perspective based on health, education and technology, fundamental aspects that need to be considered, within the scope of scientific research, for the development of digital competencies of nurses as agents of innovation in health. The adoption of bibliographic research in articles, legislation, and reports as a methodology has enabled results that can contribute to the advancement of these studies, including: the recognition of the importance and essentiality of digital skills; the educational perspective as a basis for the interdisciplinary development of these competencies; and the peculiarities of digital health as a driver and result of innovation.
