Resumo
The objective of this study is to characterize the violent events that occurred in Physical Education classes in schools in Belo Horizonte between 2014 and 2015. The documentary data of the research are constituted by lawsuits originated by violent actions practiced by adolescents in the time and space of Physical Education classes that suffered intervention by military police and legal operators. Through the analysis of these documents, it was possible to identify not only a change in the nomenclature of violent actions through the Brazilian Penal Code, but also to contact the judicial procedures in the treatment of such occurrences in the school. The contact with such information tensions the idea that the school is a place of safety and capable of contributing to the development of children and adolescents.
