Abstract

The aim of the study was to analyze the importance of the amortization systems used in financial loans by means of simulations at two banks, Itaú and Bradesco, in order to make it easier to understand which of these systems is more viable and generates more advantages for the customer when taking out a loan. Initially, a brief review was made of the interest capitalization system, followed by a presentation of the theoretical basis for amortization systems, using, in particular, the constant and French amortization systems. As the final part of the work, a qualitative-descriptive study was carried out with data collected from semi-structured interviews at Banco da Amazônia in order to gain a better understanding of the amortization systems where it was possible to simulate a loan, comparing the amortization systems offered by the banks with another system, as well as analyzing through tables and graphs the most suitable system for taking out the loan. With the research, considerable information was obtained that made it possible to analyze the care that should be taken with a given amount, as well as interest rates and time, as very important factors in assessing the amount to be borrowed. It concludes with suggestions that show that amortization systems have become essential tools used by banks to make profits and more profits and thus become large companies.
